It seems right now, here in the US, that Facebook is now competing with Texas US Senator Ted Cruz (henceforth to be addressed as 'Turd Cruz', or just 'that Turd') as to which can be the most pretentiously annoying. Facebook evidently has some snit with Australian news outlets....and I have a scholarly friend in Australia who tried to post an article on FakeZuck and FakeZuck blocked it from all US FakeZuck screens...Just a big ol' blurred blob in the midst of what was supposed to be an article. Fuck Zuck.
Then, in attempting to communicate with a sTrumpette on FakeZuck in a language they might actually understand, I got exiled from FakeZuck for 24 hours for violating their 'Community Standards'. Testing on my part reveals that FakeZuck does not intimidate posters equally. The sTrumpettes get to post whatever whiny lies they want, with all sorts of veiled threats, without much oversight from the FakeZuck shithead 'moderators'.
So, for the time being, Turd Cruz and FakeZuck are on equal shitty status in my thoughts. I'll throw in eBay and FedEx just for good measure.
I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with Facebook and Australian news. I'd guess that Australian news violates the 'Community Standards' of Facebook, possibly by being unflatteringly accurate in their reporting about the shortcomings and failings of Facebook and Zuckerberg.
Maybe our local Aussie transplants can clue me in? Anybody else is welcome to chime in, but I would like to hear from the antipodeans.
Australia was planning to introduce a law imposing charges on Facebook for displaying links to news items. Facebook retaliated for a few days by blocking links to news items. I understand Australia and Facebook have now reached a compromise but I don't know what that is. Britain is interested in following suit.
I've never been banned from facebook. I feel left out.
Ooh, a challenge. I dares ya.
All you have to do is find their 'Community Standards' and violate them. Nevermind that they've been violating all kinds of community standards for years, now. They're privileged, don't you know? So I guess that doesn't mean that they can ever violate any community standards...evidently they are above it all and take the position that they get to determine the 'community standards', which sorta seems like allowing the neighborhood pervert to determine what is acceptable in terms of behavior.
Just post blatantly false news. They vowed they'd try and stop that, didn't they? Should be enough for a short ban. You can then post more fake news to find out how long it takes to get a permanent ban. Then repeat the experiment again, but with an obvious non-American name and picture and see if that changes things. Call it scientific research
