I left Simba out on the porch most of the day yesterday and until about 1:00pm today! I had no idea he was out there, poor thing! He was out there all by himself during the terrible thunderstorms--he must have been terrified--and there were tornado watches, too.

Much forgiveness can be gained sucking up with cuddles, toys and treats, in my experience. Pets tend to have short memories!

After I directed him into the house, he came back out again to be with me, but he was crying the whole time. He didn't complain at all when I picked him up and offered him sympathy, and he usually hates to be held.

Treats. Lots and lots of treats. And as many cuddles as he will put up with

I have shut Tinker in the porch for a couple of hours once, but in my defense he did run out there when my back was turned.

I should have looked more closely for cats before I closed the porch window yesterday. And why didn't I miss Simba last night? <facepalm>

I came home one day and found Merry shut in the (off) tumble dryer.

I don't know why you are so shocked, since you commented on it at the time.

Did I? My memory isn't what it used to be.
(My comment wasn't criticism btw.)

It was a few Christmas days ago. I dunno how he got in there .. or rather, I can see how he got in there but I can't see how the door got shut .. it can only have been Pip, I suppose.
He didn't - Merry that is - look all that bothered about it.

Dryers are warm at Christmastime when everything so yukky and chilly!
