I was away visiting my daughter, but now I'm back. I hope I'll be able to go to France on March 6 for her wedding --Covid willing.

Little Miss JoeP was staying with me. She's gone home now.
Now I have a boiler problem and have booked an engineer, but only available Friday.

The boiler works but is leaking.
Fortunately I have a bucket.

Ours did that for ages before totally packing up

It's sometimes a sign that the expansion unit has failed. Ours did that and the plumber pointed out the leak inside. When that happens, the pressure rises and fails every time the boiler switches itself on and off.

There is definitely a fault with the filler loop. There is probably a fault with the pressure relief valve. The expansion vessel probably just needs repressurising.
I didn't really want to learn this much about boilers ...

Much better, but it still has a dodgy component. The engineer couldn't make on Friday as his daughter got sick - will be coming tomorrow.

Was in quarantine with the whole family, did a high pressure release at work, got an unreliable colleague making my workload a whole load heavier? Bigger? And did a 7 day course inbetween having a serious flu and 2 colds.

That sounds like lots of fun. By "high pressure release" do you mean you work in a factory with a huge boiler? Or a software release?

Hi Mari How are the kids?

Software obviously, but it was still a high pressure release. *rolls eyes*
The kids are great. Eldest is turning 3 in 2 weeks and Youngest is now walking and starting to talk. Sort of. Every animal is a woof woof and every car a tatu tatu. No is yes, yes is also yes, crying and screaming like a piglet getting killed in a very animal unfriendly way is generally no. That, or she's just fed up because she's hungry/tired.
