Probably have a new Prime Minister by the time I finish writing this. What a complete and utter mess.

Betting odds are available for Liz Truss's exit date but sadly they don't break it down to the day or even week. She is odds on favourite, by 11 to 14, to be sacked some time this year.

Wut?
So, the Tory government is now providing entertainment in the form of a huge set of public musical chairs with ministries?
How quaint.
Part of our legislative branch just called on the former head of the executive branch to come and enlighten them while under oath. The judicial branch just told the former head of the executive branch to sod off.
I'm still waiting for Hell Toupee to be indicted and do the perp walk into court, at least.
Better watch out, or the librarians will get you!

And....I must ask again....
What difference will it make?

Tories have been beguiled by the promises of lower taxes and economic growth and there are still perhaps 100 Tory MPs who are furious that Liz Truss has been attacked. But Jeremy Hunt has been brought in to create a realistic prospect and seems to be capable of doing that. On Friday, he met the governor of the Bank of England who described the encounter as a 'meeting of minds' and already Hunt is talking of raising taxes instead of lowering them. We shall see if there is market stability in the next few days.
Nevertheless, the drama is set to continue. The Observer says that "in a rearguard action to prop up the prime minister last night, her cabinet allies warned MPs they would precipitate an election and ensure the Tories were 'finished as a party' if they toppled a second leader in just a few months." (As soon as Liz Truss was appointed, she got rid of everyone in the cabinet who was not loyal to her and so she is surrounded by ministers who support her.)
We badly need a distraction, preferably one that isn't too serious. Perhaps the orange order in America can provide one.

Truss's mini budget - well the chancellor's - would have been absolutely ruinous. Basically it was a HUGE bonus for very rich people at the expense of the poor. Even the Tories do not normally go as far as that.

That all sounds very Republican.

Yes, that's right, even down to the Reagonomics, which commentators have dubbed Trussonomics.

Yes...'Trickle-down economics'. Just wait until they posit 'economic efficiency' as the rationale to privatize the NHS.
Yet, you fools keep electing these mountebanks and charlatans. Just like we do.

So...Is there, by chance, any likelihood that an initial 'H' of an English name carries the 'K' sound? Like in 'Jeremy Hunt'?

He wrecked the NHS when he was the health secretary. He promised to cut corporation tax even lower than Truss did, when he was running to be PM this summer (but he was rejected in the first round of voting with only 18 votes). Now, he's effectively the PM (and may yet become PM) and has put corporation tax up.
He's now promising to cut all spending - breaking the promise to raise pensions in line with inflation, which was a manifesto commitment.
Yet another gleaming example of the wonderful democracy we enjoy, here in the UK. We are an example to the whole world!
