Sunak has conceded - graciously, which was nice to see because watching Trump throw a tantrum in defeat was not pleasant. Lots to digest though, and I will stay up until all the votes are in. The SNP did not do well. Reform did better than I'd have wanted (not necessarily in terms of seats but in number of votes .. they came second in a lot of places). Rishi held his seat and so did Hunt and Braverman. Farage got a seat though and that pisses me off. So yeah, it's a Labour landslide but there are things here that need to be considered and Reform UK is possibly the biggest of them.
Lot of Tory cabinet members lost their seats though - this is quite unprecedented.

"Reform... came second in a lot of places" - including in your constituency. "Reform did better than I'd have wanted" - I agree. Braverman held her seat - pity. "Farage got a seat though and that pisses me off" - me too.

Corbyn won his seat as an independent.
Bernie Sanders sent him glowing congratulations and welcomed him back on the scene. Imagine that...

Me, too.
Bernie says he was run out of the party for expecting it to represent labour. As I remember it, he was slandered as an 'antisemite' for criticizing Israel.
Bernie is prolly one of the most well-known Semites in the US Congress.

Sadly, Israel defines anti-Semitism to include criticism of Israel's stance towards the Palestinians in the occupied territories* and has persuaded the Unites Sates and several other countries to accept that definition (but without an agreed international definition). When Corbyn was leader, Labour did not accept that criticism of Israel's actions towards Palestinians was anti-Semitic and that, I believe, was the driving force that pushed Corbyn out of the Labour party. Personally, on that score, I think he was right. * Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour link
