I need to name the new puppy. I have a favourite which I will let you guess, any input?

Bach, unless it's a yappy dog, in which case, Offenbach.

Something tells me Echo might be a contender.

Calling a puppy Other seems cruel!

I like Cordy. She's got style and sass. If you want your dog to win shows, she should be Cordy.

Exactly. Her name needs to be "Echo Echo".

Echo would be eminently suitable if she had four older brothers called Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta.
Edited to correct the gender *looks penitent*

Heh, people are always calling Honey "he", even after I have corrected them. They even did it when she was wearing a pink diamante collar!

Echo has to be a Dollhouse reference. It sounds very feminine to me.

It is a Dollhouse reference. It was one of the names on the table for the other puppy, but I rejected it then as it seemed like a female name.

Everybody knows dogs are male and cats are female. That is why people are always referring to dogs as he even when they are she and vice versa with cats. Delta also sounds like a girl name to me. Huxley and Scully might become a tongue twister if you have to say the two too often.

I suppose that Cordy has the benefit of also having the naughty name "Cordelia" available. You could even throw a ball and then shout "Cordelia! Chase!"

Oh yeah good one! You so should name her Cordy. Told you.

For more fun call your dog, "Kill!"

Even in my opinion, it's not worth calling the dog something for a one-off joke! How about calling her "lie down"?

At four syllables, Cordelia is much too long, anyway. My final decision may be influenced by her official name as well, sometimes there is a given name to be derived from it.
