Actually I've decided (if it's a boy) they shouldn't give him a name at all - just a symbol. Like that other Prince.

Andrew is Prince Andrew's name, doubt they will go for that

Aren't they into the whole naming after someone-thing then? But then, Prince Andrew fell out of favour because of his marriage, right?

I still think they should go with Anakin, what could possibly go wrong?
Or then Bart (Bartholomew). Or Valium for a boy, Vespa for a girl.

Prince Andrew is not popular with the public

I thought of an incredibly controversial boy's name... Spenser!

Vercingetorix (but would have to be the Second).
We call all ours Sauron, it's much easier: except for remembering the right number.

Well she's still not dropped the sprog, I'm beginning to feel that we can't rule out a phantom pregnancy.

Sounds like a plot from Harry Potter - a ghost in line to the throne.

What is the normal gestation period for ghosts, anyway? We could be off by years.

Maybe she's had it and not told anyone. I saw pics of the paps outside the hospital .. apparently they've been there a fortnight. If it were me I'd want more privacy and would go to a different hopsital!

Ah, but that's what you sign up for when you marry a royal.

I doubt it was so bad here in NL when Maxima was having her baby though. Were people camping outside the hospital for a fortnight? The Brits are crazy.

She's probably glad the hospital has air conditioning if it does.

kid could be in school by now If it's a public school, you have to fill in the application forms at conception to get to the front of the queue in time. In the case of Royals, they'd probably all be falling over themselves to get them in though.

No, but then Dutch royalty have made some working agreements with the media. British press is, in my mind, gutter work. No offense, but they permanently go too far.

Agreed. I think the British people could make a stand and boycott any and all newspapers/magazines/tabloids etc that make any reference to the royals for a few weeks.

The British press are everything you say ... but they only got that way by pandering to the British public. No chance of a concerted boycott!

The Daily Star - horrible paper - had a 2-page spread of lookalike photos of Kate, William and their baby.
