No to mention that to buy into it you have to believe the Muslims have it right enough to go to Muslim Heaven otherwise...

That's not an absolute requirement, of course. You could just be a mindless bigot!

The trouble is once you market something like this, someone will want to buy them. Once you've bought them you'll want to use them. I despair

This is what happens when "free speech" overtakes sense! In this country I think you'd be stopped from marketing this kind of crap (assuming there wasn't already regulation on firearms) just by it being classed as "incitement to racial hated" or something like that (Yes, I know technically it's religion, not race).

The Greek's invented the idea of free speech (or free expression) but I think they were a lot freer than we are today.

I don't see this kind of stuff as any better than what the hate clerics come out with. It is just warmongering and hateful. This is the kind of attitude that fuels a decent chunk of the hatred in the other direction to start with and the whole thing turns into a vicious circle.

I didn't intend to imply that I'm in favour of greater freedom of speech. I think we've got it about right in the UK. I agree with you when you say you, "don't see this kind of stuff as any better than what the hate clerics come out with."

The Greek's invented the idea of free speech (or free expression) but I think they were a lot freer than we are today. Depends on how you look at it. Civilians were also a lot freer to take up tar and feathers and run you out of town as a mob if they did not agree with you. One famous example was a Greek philosopher who had the habit of vehemently arguing in favour of something one day and against the same thing the next day. The townspeople got so fed up with that they ran him out of town. Of course I forgot this dude's name, sorry.
