...I'd rather NOT be labelled a 'senior lady'. Unless I get a free bus pass.

Would senile lady be better? Or else, we need to come up with a name for our group. Crones. Superwoman.

Sure, come up with another name for the people that want access to both senior forums and the ladies' forum

*will now always think of Juju as a senior lady* *better not mention it* How about changing the word "senior" (in forum names as well as group names) to "senile"? ... or "batty old" Or "privileged"?

Crone is fine - I don't mind crone. 'Senior lady' sounds like someone that a hairdresser would offer a discount to on Wednesdays. *will now always think of Juju as a senior lady* *better not mention it*

Moderating groups is not easy peasy, only Jo's account can make new user groups and assign rights to them. So it isn't just a custom title, easier to change the group name for every member instead of making new ones.

Well that's what I was figuring. We need to come up with a new group name and everybody gets to be it.

"Exalted lady"
You know you want this title really.
And if we're going to change the group names, how about updating "Senior members" to reflect the fact that it's a men-only group. I find myself uncomfortable with the implication that "male" is the default gender.

It could be
"Exalted X" and "Senile Y"

Wouldn't we need two names? Miisa, as I understood it the senior is for the previous senile areas, whilst lady refers to the women's forum, right? Or did you just give the senior ladies additional rights and thus a separate name?
By the way, I always preferred senile over senior. And if we can't be ladies, shouldn't we at least be queens? Senile Queen has a nice ring to it.

Yes, there is Senior Member which was all the seniors, until we wanted a forum only the women could get into, so a separate group had to be made to give different rights. The men never seemed interested in their own forum, so they just have basic/default senior rights. I am sure Jo (or a delegate) would be happy to change any group names once there is a consensus.

I didn't know they were group names - in the last (or last but last? Last but last but last?) incarnation of the forum we could choose whatever we wanted, if we didn't want to be varieties of ruminants. But a name change might be cool. I'm sure I could get used to being exalted or privileged

The last before last before last board was different. We still have a system where you can have the default title based on post count, but that is overridden by the senior status title.

I am not entirely sure the male members have been fully consulted about having their own private area in which to get up to stuff without the ladies.

Oh yes, you have. On the old EF there was a whole thread dedicated to it and here it was asked again, probably in the same thread we talked about reinstating the ladies' forum.
