This lunchtime, Pat and I had a meal at a nearby pub/restaurant and we noticed that the place was less that one sixth full compared with most Fridays. A waitress told us that earlier in the week, six police officers turned up on mass to check that there was no mixing from different households. (Customers that did mix could have been fined £200 and the restaurant £1000 if there had been people mixing from different households.) Six officers all at the same time. I did wonder if they had found from experience that two policemen on their own would not have been able to handle the aggression that customers showed when they were fined and turfed out of the restaurant halfway through their meals.

Steps that are not healthy. My fitness tracker tells me I've done 6200 steps today of which 5900 are healthy. The remainder must surely be unhealthy steps.

943 419 Unhealthy steps are those taken inside a chippie or candyshop or something?

I'm not sure when I acquired my current title but I know exactly which episode of Doctor Who it came from and I blame Moose and Miisa for putting it into the rank system.

Rule 1: If you want to stop the water in your car windscreen washer bottle from freezing, add the recommended quantity of washer fluid. Easily available from petrol filling stations and supermarkets.
Rule 2: Do NOT, on any account, add antifreeze instead of washer fluid.
I recently bought a new car (new to me) and suspect the previous owner disobeyed Rule 2. Ach, antifreeze is oily and so every time I try to wash away the dirt on the windscreen, it adds an oily film making the windscreen very difficult to see through.

943 404 OK, if two school children in Montana in the States are in close contact for more than 15 minutes and one of them develops Covid-19, the other has to self-isolate for 14 days. What is a foolproof way of avoiding self-isolation? Answer, move everyone around every 15 minutes so that no one is in contact with anyone else for more than 15 minutes Experts are scratching their heads
