It's going to be the quietest moot ever! I didn't notice it being quiet. In fact everyone seemed very comfortable and chatty.

Yep, I don't think we stopped talking except to put food in our mouths.

At least you had the decency to stop talking at that point.

I tend to restrict myself to approving or disapproving noises in that case yeah.

The food was very good too. I didn't have to eat when I came back home even.

The food was very good too. I didn't have to eat when I came back home even. We didn't either. And I have to admit that I was quite surprised about how comfortable I felt. Talking to you all online for years must have had a positive effect. At my sister's wedding, her in-laws invited us for lunch. That was one of these situations in which I hardly said a word throughout the whole time. I have rarely felt more uncomfortable, plus they weren't speaking proper German.

What were they speaking? I wish we could have lunch again and chat some more!

Yes, it wasn't nerve racking at all.

Since the weather turns cold, I might not be going anywhere in the near future. Once there is snow, all is welcomed to come ski with my sons, we've wonderful slopes near where we live (I don't ski, sorry).

I don't ski either. It's something I've always wanted to do but never really had the opportunity to try.

I tried it, but my knee didn't like it. I couldn't use it for a week long after.

I think if I tried it, more than my knee wouldn't work

I thought skiing was actually quite scary...

There is an artificial ski slope near me, but I have been told that they cause many more injuries as they use a pattern of carpet-like material. If your fingers and so on go in the gaps when you fall, it can cause pretty nasty injuries you'd not get on snow.

I took them on their respective birthdays for a birthday treat but Deborah was too young and didn't enjoy it.

I like people who can talk too. I was talking about this with Claudia actually, that it's not a problem for me to chat with somebody but I'm not much good at initiating the conversation. I need somebody else to start. Unless it's somebody I know and am already comfortable with of course. I like being the center of attention but not with strangers.

Echoing what everyone said about it being easy to talk and not at all overwhelming. I thought there would be more silences but clearly it makes a big difference that we all know each other online - and haven't been polishing our online personas artificially, which I think was the message of the original video.

I don't think that I have ever met anyone from online who seemed significantly different than I had imagined them to be in real life. Sure, people can look a little different or have accents or mannerisms that I'd not expected but I've never met anyone who was elememtally not what I had thought that they were and that made me uncomfortable

A large number of people I have met from the Internet I had previously spoken to on the phone and seen photos of, so not usually a great leap from there.
