I don't know enough about either the Chinese or the German cultures to really comment except on a very superficial level.

I count myself as German in these pictures. I've never been to a Chinese party but I immediately thought of the round tables at restaurants. The food is very important in China.
I did not quite understand the bird picture. But I am reminded of what a Chinese said to me. "When you Europeans see a swan you think feeding it. When we see a swan we think Food!"
And Swedes (not me) are hysterical about being tanned. While Chinese think white is beautiful (the whiter you are, the less peasant you are).
