Tybbe is driving me crazy. Though I'm in the room he will stand in front of any door, just yowling real loud. It's his "I don't like this, now solve the problem"-yowl, which is the lowest and loudest. Seriously, that such a tiny cat can produce such a sound is amazing. He is not interested in getting to the other side, because he can open the door himself (which is annoying in its own right) and if you open the door for him, he won't set foot in the other room unless I go in first. I have no idea what he wants or why he is doing it, but it seems like it's getting louder and lasts longer every day >_< Aside from that he's still peeing places where he really shouldn't.

Is there a female in heat anywhere?

Not that I know. Besides, my boys are both its now. There aren't too many cats around anyhow. Lots and lots of dogs though.

Maybe he still doesn't feel secure in the new place? How is he getting on with Puck? There could also be something there. Maybe he just hasn't been getting enough attention and wants some of yours?

One of mine does this at night as well. So annoying. It helps a little if she has access to my room, so she can instead lie next to me if she feels neglected. But sometimes she has run out of food or is just in a mood to sing or something. And I grow ever more in the mood to strangle her...

Mine cries when she wants food at around 6 in the morning. Then she would cry when she wants me to fuss about her. She is old but still a baby. And she only does this to me.

Our cat sits in front of you and stares at you when she wants food or attention. If you ignore her, she will continue to stare and only after 20 minutes or so will she mew quietly to indicate that she is still there.

I think it may be an attention issue in combination with the new house. He has enough toys to play with and gets along well with Puck. Puck, however, is all settled in and loves to simply lie on my lap. Tybbe isn't the quietly sitting kind. It can be seriously annoying though!
At the same time he keeps trying to open doors (and succeed, which is the worst part). This afternoon I came back from shopping to find all doors between upstairs, kitchen and downstairs opened, so the cats ran outside when I opened the front door. They've also broken my favourite mug in the kitchen, dragged all the rubbish from the bin and ate my lunch. >_<

I have an animal-proof garbage can. Very useful!

I've tried 3 different types. As long as it's about food, Puck manages to break into all of them >_<

Hence my solution of not letting them in the kitchen in the first place...

This is the garbage can I have. It keeps my very bright and determined dog out. (That is, as long as I remember to keep it locked...) It's worth it's weight in gold!

Ah, a lock. That would be nice. I've never seen such a bin though. Should google for it.

My Didi only eats cat food, and she doesn't care for milk either

My cat will practically crawl into my mouth if I'm eating any milk products. It's like crack for him. But it gives him diarrhea, so it's strictly prohibited.

I'd rather avoid the whole issue by feeding him only his kibble and water. That's what the vet recommends anyway.

I give mine cat milk with ice on really hot summer days. Otherwise just kibble and water. And whatever else they manage to snatch after breaking in to various places. At least I've now got their food behind a lock, since I just finished making a closet with shelves last weekend.

Well, the incessant meowing has stopped, but now he's peeing all over the attic. Well, he's actually quite particular. He keeps picking plastic bags or clean laundry. Yesterday I went up to the attic because I smelled something bad: turns out he peed all over some bags. I don't know why he does it, but it's really annoying. I tried cleaning it but it was beyond saving this time.

I guess you have litter trays. Do you have one each?

No, I don't. They share it quite amicably usually. He doesn't do it regularly by the way. He sometimes does it a few times in a week and then he doesn't for weeks on end. This week was a real hit with 3 times so far though.

It might be worth getting them one each. Pip sometimes wees where he shouldn't but I've been making sure that there is a clear tray on each floorof the house and it helps .. most of the time he uses it now.

I'd have more than one, but it's finding locations for them where certain doggies can't try to help by emptying them out again!

I have one in every room. But I guess I'll try buying another for in the attic where most 'accidents' happen.
