Is this the guy who said that it looked awful but tasted great? I seem to recall he tried a few other things too. I admit that biscuits and gravy DOES look bad but I suppose I'd give it a go. Once.

His gravy looks chunky. I’ve never had gravy that looks that chunky. It’s usually smooth.

His gravy looks chunky. I’ve never had gravy that looks that chunky. It’s usually smooth. It's sausage gravy. If you'd actually watched the video, you'd know that one starts by frying up a quantity of bulk sausage, then make the gravy with the meat in. The result is, and always should be (for biscuits and gravy) "chunky gravy". And, this is one of the signature dishes of the American South, of which you are a helluva lot closer than I.

I know what it is but I just don’t do that often. Mine is typically smooth and creamy. It all depends on what part of the south or what family. There are several more types of gravy they use down here for biscuits, dearheart. One is Chocolate gravy.
Chocolate Gravy - which is used my my godmother side of the family Beef gravy - my mother’s mother side Sausage gravy - at my lost but found sisters side of the family Creamy gravy - my husbands side
I’m sure there is more. But I prefer mine creamy and never chunky. If it looks chunky it’s not for me unless I’ve got a craving for it I guess but that is rare.

He is making what we would call savoury scones. Our biscuits are thin (typically 1/4" thick) and sweet and they snap when you try to bend them.
His recipe for gravy is as follows:
500g sausage meat 15g butter 45g plain flour 1 1/4 cups milk 1 1/4 cups cream Salt & pepper to taste
In the UK, gravy is made with meat juices, thickened with a little cornflour. Optionally, you might add a stock cube for extra flavour (dried meat juices with added salt).
