Yeah, bit depressing, that. Nothing to do but soldier on. :-) I'm not much of a help usually.

How many children did Charlie Chaplin have? My team won a pub-type quiz in the church hall yesterday evening. We tied on the last round and won the tie-breaker with the number of Charlie Chaplin's children (11).

Or indeed some more members of the Forum ... never mind.
This afternoon is the occasion of my Ministerial Development Review ... important part of clergy discipline but one of my co-workers (anonymous referees) did write to the Reviewer to ask exactly what further training would be useul for a priest in his late sixties who plans to retire in the next eighteen months.
Fair point.

Well, it's not snowing now. :-) Who knows what the rest of the winter holds. Last year we got a significant snowstorm on April 15th.

I survived MDR with only minor injuries and one good idea (having an end-of-ministry mentor to help me prepare the parish for my departure). MDRs happen every three years and I will therefore be retired before next due.
Ironically, the bishop's office has asked me to accept appointment as an MDR Reviewer from Easter ... ... ... so it won't be my last engagement with the process ...

944 818 Friday would be nice. We have to get up early tomorrow because we have signed Malcolm up for a playgroup. The one for his age group is from 8:30 to 9:30,though.
