Does she think it will be fixable either way, so that you can bend it etc?

She hasn't said. I can bend (the tip of) my right thumb through 90° but I can only bend my left thumb through 60°. And it hurts for a few days after I try to do that. I'm not particularly bothered about the lack of mobility - 60° is enough for me - it's the damage through usage and subsequent pain that I'm concerned about.

944 565 I'm guessing I haven't mentioned it here ... I dropped one of Miisa's summer tyres on my big toe in November (while carrying them to the cellar after she'd got the winter tyres fitted). It was only painful for a week or so but it's still half purple (growing out). I could post a picture if you want. And you could post a picture of your thumb X-ray when it's ready!

944 563 I don't have an x-ray picture but here's my thumb. You can just see the blackened nail that has almost grown out. Joe, my thumb commiserates with your big toe.

That's nothing, the whole nail was black originally, except at the sides, until it grew out.

We have a whole day of team bonding and training tomorrow so it's almost like a Friday for me today. We are starting with a scavenger hunt.

I've just got back from a whole day of team building and planning *with my client*. 50 of them and 2 of us. Good to be invited.
I am slightly proud of the fact that my table (team exercises were run between 6 tables of about 8 each) won the spaghetti and marshmallow challenge.

We had a surprise today at our team day, the head of University Services - our biggest boss aside from the Vice Chancellor of the University, came to give us all a thank you gift and hand written card for each member of our team. That's never happened before and was a really nice show of appreciation.

944 553 More uptoppers should do that. They'd retain their personnel a lot easier that way.

The good thing is, they can't tell who is or who is not a citizen at the sausage stall.
It is depressingly looking to be a liberal victory. How Australian's can be so uncaring about everything is beyond comprehension.

I'm rather depressed. I would be worried about what will come for women, except the earth is so fucked that it probably won't matter.

Well a day on, I'm slightly more resigned. My favourite cartoonist got out a post election cartoon and called Australians a "useless herd of motherflippers" which made me feel better.

I'm sorry to hear that, Kye.
I've been painting a friend's ceiling because she's afraid of heights. First time I've painted a ceiling in 20 years. Paint is much better now because it doesn't splatter when you apply it with a roller. Very tiring though.
