We have had frost for a few days now and it has been very cold out with Honey in the evening. I wore all my motorbike gear on Friday evening, which was very unfair on Honey, even if she does have a coat to wear.  |

 I am at the point where I am starting to find the darkness oppressive. Fortunately, I know it's almost at its peak and in less than 6 weeks it'll be the same as this, but on the way back up. |

The sun sets at quarter past three. That's way too early. Here, it starts getting darker around 4:30 h, I think. |

As a kid we had skiing (cross-country) at school, and my friends (who were generally wealthier than me) tended to do downhill skiing as well. But I haven't kept up and don't even have skis. I do have skates, though. But mostly I just watch my daughter make it look easier than it is.

We had that pellet sort of snow coming down briefly on Wednesday as we went to lunch. Got cold at night, but no more precipitation. We're supposed to see nearly 10ºC again very soon.
