He's really not himself .. he did not sleep with me last night and I could not find him in the morning - he was not coming when called. Eventually after much panicking located him under an upstairs windowsill but he just blinked at me and did not move. He spent all day there asleep . He did come out for his dinner but he's gone back now.

Have you tried phoning him and texting?

No but I just went and tried to coax him out. He would not come tho. He does not look ILL - it's not like with Gandalf, when he was very clearly unwell - but I don't understand why he is hiding.

Is it still hot there? London's been mixed with clouds but perhaps your neck of the woods is still heatwaving.

It's warm but nowhere near as hot as it has been. I don't want to forcibly remove him from his hiding place but I feel pretty naked without him by my side . Kinda like losing my daemon..

I could not bear it anymore so I just went and picked him up and brought him to sit on my knee. He is not complaining but he does not seem to want any treats either

He seems a bit more perky now and just tried to sit on the keyboard *beams happily*. It's weird - I spend so much time trying to dissuade him from doing that but now I am over joyed that he just did. He can't be that unwell if he's still trying to get in the way of whatever I am doing

When they are unwell, cats normally hide away. You may not see anything wrong because they are good at hiding their illnesses. I would be worried if he's no better in a week's time.

He might indeed be upset at Luthy leaving her smell on "his" spot. If you get the smell out, things might just be fine again.

I also think it could be a smell issue.
Is he drinking plenty of water?

Seems normal now but I sense that there's been a shift in the balance of power and Luthy has more now
