The Lodger
This is a cheerful and likeable episode .. it's fun to see the Doctor trying to live life as a normal bloke. I liked Craig and Sophie too. Storyline was uncomplicated and fairly fun.

Vincent and the Doctor
Love this one - one of the best ever. Great storyline and the bloke. playing Vincent was perfectly cast. I liked the dynamic between him and Amy. Some uplifting moments and nice art and music but a lot of poignancy too.

The Hungry Earth/whatever the other part was called
This one was alright, nothing special. Nice to see the Silurians and to learn that there are good and bad ones. I thought that the Doctor was a bit harsh on the woman Ambrose, who killed a Silurian in an attempt to rescue her husband, son and father

Amy's Choice
I quite liked this one though it's not a classic. Fascinating storyline tho with a nice twist when the identity of the Dream Lord is finally revealed. And a further insight into Amy and ROry's relationship and Rory's insecurity about Amy's relationhip with the doctor. A recurring theme is to be that Rory is more committed to the relationship than Amy - at first anyway

Flesh and Stone/The Time of Angels
Quite a good one, featuring both the weeping Angels and River - the second time, iirc, that River meets the Doctor. I loved Angel Bob - great stuff. THere were some contradictions - I did not understand why the Angels would have simply assumed that Amy could see her when she had her eyes closed

Vitory of te Daleks
A reasonable episode in which a fairly weak - oh look it's the Daleks storyline is helped by a great performance from Winston Churchill and the guy playing Bracewell. Nice imitation of the cabinet war rooms too. And great to see a dalek serving tea.

The Beast Below
This one is a bit weird. Not bad weird - it's creepy in places - but it does not make much sense. Other than for show I do not really see how the smiley or angry faced things came into things.. the whole storyline could have worked perfectly well without them. There was another moral dilemna for the doctor and Amy managed to save the day by taking a risk, showing that she already understood the doctor pretty well even though she has not at this time known him fo long

The Stolen Earth
The first MS one. I was not sure about this episode at first but I like it now. I like the meeting between the doctor and the young Amy and how it sets the tone for their entire relationship. Nice to see Rory for the first time too. Storyline was not of the strongest but the first with any new doctor never is really .. it's more about getting to know the new face

Stolen Earth/whatever part two was called
I didn't have the Xmas special so went back to the last of series four. Not a bad episode - daleks,Davros, lots of old companions and occasional characters, includin Torchwood. I was sad to see Donna go after just one seris though Can't type moe as my keyboard is not wokin roperly nd it' irritating the hell out o me.

Turn Left
Bit of an odd one this tho not unlikeable. The first time I watched it I could not help wondering what Billie Piper had in her mouth that was preventing her from talking properly. Interesting to see the impact that the Doctor has on humanity and what would have happened had he died

Anothe oddone but fairly cleve. A tand alone that incclude a bunch of characters never een efoe n never agan (m keyboard is dying if ou'd not noticed). Showed up a lot of the nastiness of hun nature when the Doctor nearly found himself being killedbecause of peole's fear. I was iapointed that we never learned what the thin that invaded the ship was thouh

SIllence in the Libary /Forest o the dead
Love this one ut is pain to wite when keyoardlike this. Nice to see the octor' first meeting with River .. and strnge that we get to see her death as the very first thing we see of her. Se actually said in a later epiode that sh thouht that one day te Doctor would not ecognise he and that she thought that it was going to kill her - and of course she was right. The ting at the end was a bit weird.

The Doctor's Daughter
Not too keen on this one. It was an interesting idea, having the doctor have a cloned daughter, but the storyline was pretty stupid and it had Martha in it, who irritates the hell out of me. I had anticipated a spin off due to the ending but it did not materialie

The Sontarum thingy / The poison Sky
Did not like this one much either. The only Sontarum I am really fond of is Strax and the storyline in this one was a bit weak. Plus it had Martha, who as stated I find drippy and annoying. TWO Marthas in fact because she was cloned. Eek.

Planet of the Ood - Meh - this is alright but not brilliant. Another episode of the Doctor and Donna acting all moral - rightly of course but still. It had some great music in it and I rather like the Ood but it is not an episode that sticks out

The Fires of Pompeii
I do like this one and not just because it has a cameo from a future Doctor. Interesting storyline and nice ancient Roman setting, with the usual moral dilemna. Donna showed herself to be better than the Doctor at times in this episode I thought and I was impressed by the fact that she did not think twice about sacrificing her life to save the human race.

Realised I missed reviewing The Unicon and the Wasp tho I did rewatch it. Great episode, lovely period setting, interesting and clever story and nice to see a cameo from Agatha Christie neatly tying in with a real life event for her

Partners in Crime
Donna's first story. The plot was frankly daft but that does not matter really as it was more about introducing her character - again - and the interaction between her and the doctor.

Voyage of the Damned
Realised to my surprise that I'd never seen this one all the way through. I did not watch it at Chritmas then started it on catchup and found it monumentally boring, despite a fun setting and Kylie Minogue. Watched it last night all through. It's still monumentally boring. I can only presume that they were working on the assumption that everyone would be comatose from overeating and drinking when it was first shown and would not notice that it was crap

Don't like this one either. Silly plot, silly Martha and the guy playing the Master just did not work for me.

Blink
This is one of the best episodes ever, despite not featuring the doctor very much. Great, inventive storyline, likeable central characters and innovative and original villians. Good stuff.

Human Nature/ The family of blood
Love this one too. Genuinely creepy with the scarecrows and some excellent acting from the support actors - Baines and Jenny for instance. Interesting to see the Doctor as human and falling in love. I felt sorry for the Matron, who pointed out that John Smith was braver than the Doctor.

Slightly strange episode with a cameo from Michelle Collins. Seems to have been mainly a vehicle for the Doctor to moralise a bit about the way the nasty humans conduct themselves in space.

The one about the daleks in New York
Didn't like this one when it was first aired and don't like it now. THe accents drive me mad for one thing - that exagerated NY drawl; surely no-one actually speaks like that? THe plot was weak and tired, another - yeah we know the daleks are dead but we've brought them back again anyway and we're not going to give a plausible explanation as to why. Also it had Martha in it and as I have already indicated, she drives me nuts with her wet simpering over the doctor. Interesting to see the dalek human hybrid but that's about it

Gridlock
This is probably the silliest episode ever. Silly and weak storyline, silly .. well everything. THe only interesting or significant bit was the bit at the end with the Face of Bo and his prediction.

The Shakespeare Code
I really like this one. Nice period setting and interesting storyline and even Martha contrived to be less irritating than normal, though she did make suggestive remarks to the Doctor when she found herself sharing a bed with him. Nice to see Shakespeare and of course work in a few good jokes about his plays. Poignant moment when the action moved to the inside of Bedlam asylum.

Smith and Jones
This was okay. Not a great story but typical first in a series, introducing new characters. I liked the Jadoon and the woman playing the villian was great. Otherwise it got a bit silly in places.

The Runaway Bride
I quite liked this, largely because of Catherine Tate. Again storyline was not outstanding - tho it could have been far worse - but she really made it interesting - I do wish she had stayed longer. Was a bit shocked that the Doctor murdered the baddie's children.
