I've not been to the theatre since ... blimey I can't remember. Hmmm I saw a (very bad) amateur production of All my Sons when I was in the sixth form and a (rather better) version of Hard Times a year or two before that but don't think I've been since I left school. I'd like to but I hate - really really hate - sitting in crowded places. Hmm wouldn't it be great if you could hire an entire theatre just for yourself and your friends?

I've gone a few times, but with my hearing problem, I miss a lot of the dialogue.

I went twice this year to see Wicked and Les Mis. Don't usually go that often though. It's just too expensive.

The most recent play I saw was "L'Hiver de Force" -- a play based on a novel by Rejean Ducharmes, one of my favourite Quebecois authors. I've read the book many times and I know the story well, but I still couldn't follow all the dialogue.

I can't remember the last time I actually went to see a stage production that didn't have one of my kids in it! I've been to the theatre recently to see a comedian, but haven't seen a play for ages. Oh wait... I took my son to see King Lear at Stratford in 2010. I should go more often...

Oh --my kids and I go to Shakespeare in the park every summer. Does that count?

I never go to a theatre. I don't like comedians and stuff. I did go to a classical music concert last summer and our students often perform in plays, so I'll see those. Also, I performed in a play myself last year and probably will again this year.

I can't remember the last time I went to an indoor theatre I got rained on for several hours at the last play (actually 3 plays) I saw - Henry VI parts 1 2 and 3 on Hadley Common, near the site of the Battle of Barnet - with my mother.
Miisa watched via The Internet.

Have only seen school productions lately. One or two a year of these, though. Within the last year or two we've seen:
Guys and Dolls Little Shop of Horrors The Addams Family Meet Me in St. Louis and a really interesting version of A Christmas Carol

It's been a long time since I've been to a "proper" play ("As You Like It" at the Globe in 2009 was the last one, I think). But our community theater does two productions a year and I sometimes go to those. Often musicals, though, which I'm not keen on. But they're doing Arsenic and Old Lace this spring, so that will be fun.

Last year we went to Mamma Mia at Blackpool Opera House and the year before we saw One Man Two Guvnors at Blackpool Grand Theatre.

I used to go every couple of weeks at one point to see comedy, opera, music concerts and more, but very rarely these days. I have this week booked to go and see La Traviata with some friends in a few weeks' time.

I went last month for a performance by amateur actors including a Finnish friend. It was all in Romanian so I didn't get all of it (sadly when it comes to verbal communication, I'm still not good at it, though I have no problem with reading and writing), and my friend was allowed to mumble stuff in Finnish as well (which obviously no one in the audience or among the actors themselves could get, though I suspect that her low voice was a contributing factor). I rarely go to the theatre though.
