Ahem, since we don't have a southern region, I'll post this here.. it's a survey by the AAI to have an estimation of how many non believers there are in the world and other information about them.. if you're a non believer, please participate, and if you're not you may be interested to look at the stats.. There are two surprise countries in the top 10: Poland (6th now) and Iran (9th).. I'm less surprised about Iran though since I already heard from various informal sources that it had a large community of non believers (and I'm wondering why they haven't toppled the Islamic regime already, but I guess given the stakes they're waiting for a good opportunity).. also, a smaller surprise, Syria seems to be leading the Arab speaking countries.. most people thought Egypt and Morocco had the largest communities, but the poll started just 4 days ago, so maybe we should wait.. And finally, there are 2 people (female) who voted from North Korea.. I wonder who they might be.. You can check the FAQ for more information.. Link: www.atheistcensus.com/

I have met some Iranians on travian who do not seem very religious. It's very different to the public perception of the regime
