I bought beer earlier from one of those cheapo shops and just opened one. Was surprised to see it was advertising Euro 2012 .. had not noticed that in the shop. Looked for the best before date and it's at least a month out. I should complain about that *looks severe*

That's usually why stuff is cheap. If it's only a best-before date it'd probably have been about for some time anyway and a month would barely make any difference. If it tasted foul (or especially it'd been a use by date) you'd have some leverage.
