I have a nasty bug that's been going around. The kids are both home, and the four of us are at various sniffling/coughing/sneezing/aching stages of this thing. We hope to be more lively in a couple of days.

My family had that for Christmas 2008, the last one I spent with my parents. We all got the flu, complete with the high fever and the aches and just wanting to die. It was a quiet Christmas.

We've just come back from visiting family in England and had to stay an extra day 'cause we picked up Norovirus (the winter vomiting bug). It only lasts 24 hours but it made me feel really yucky - achy and shivery as well.  We're home now, though. And it's not even raining, yay! |

A grand-cousin-in-law of mine has caught that nasty ailment ... she's only five months old, poor little mite, and had to be whipped into hospital as a result - the last place she needs to be, I should have thought.

We've had some mild coughing going on. Hoping the break from school will let people get better. Well ... not quite. We're all starting to recover, it would seem. I made minor improvements yesterday, and today felt better still ... the best I've been all year, in fact!  ;D Now all I have is a lingering cough, and some nasal discomfort. The cough drops are helping, though. |

I had more than 14 days off which is the most I've had all year - not counting my hospital stay in summer and the time after that since that wasn't exactly time off.
