Okay so I am new to this whole gardening thing but I can already see that I will get enthused about it I'd love to swap tips, hints or just general stories. Piccies also much welcomed!

Plant porn!
You do know that flowering is sexual activity? Spring is just one big plant orgy.

I'm afraid that pix from my garden will be exceeding rare. Photobucket has locked me out of free hosting of my images in their attempt to extract fees from me. I just stopped using them. I tried Picasa and it just frustrated me, so I gave up. I'm unaware of other free image hosting sites. I'm willing to entertain other suggestions.

While you're waiting for other stuff to come up, this time of year you can get bedding plants (petunias, pansies, marigolds etc) really cheaply. Our local Morrisons is doing trays of 8 plants for £2. They'll instantly provide colour to your garden or pots.

Nice try, but their system seems to require a mobile number to register. I have no mobile number as I have no mobile communication device. At all.

That's weird. Yahoo didn't used to require a number to register, and I don't think I have one associated with my account.

Well...it could be because it was a link for iPad apps. But, I found another access (it's evidently Yahoo linked, so I have an account), but didn't take it up there because it was a 3 months FREE offer where the small print stated that you would be auto-billed after that point. So, no. Frippin' vampire squid....

Many things I planted last year are now blooming or growing happily. I'm hoping my nice smelling plant whose name I've forgotten will blossom this year.

So, no. Frippin' vampire squid.... I think if you just use your yahoo ID to sign in at the top right of the main page, you should be fine. Their free account has 1 T of storage. There's an option to "Go Ad Free" which I imagine would cost something. I didn't even notice the site had ads - I think my browser is probably blocking them.

Okay...Well, at this point, I'm pulling up old photos from my PB library. People should not get too envious, now, because, at present, in reality, my garden looks like a concentration camp for plants. Everything is surrounded with rabbit wire...to keep the chickens from trampling all the tender shoots.
