So...I'm over here on the far side of North America from Europe; the side closest to Hawaii and Japan. In the Specific Nordfest. Orygun, to be specific.
Have any of those of you who are not North Americans (being USers or Canucks...or Mexicans, I suppose) ever been to North America?
If you could visit anywhere in North America, where would you want to go, and why?

I've not been. I guess I'd like to visit San Francisco and see the Golden Gate. And maybe fly over the Colorado River in a light aircraft.

Nope, never been. My husband would like to go to New York but it wouldn't be at the top of my list, although it tends to be the cheapest to get to from here.
I think I'd like to see somewhere warmer - California, probably. The desert. Or maybe New Orleans.
Apart from north Africa I've never left Europe, although I have traveled a lot round that.

We have a branch of the family that settled in Fort Worth TX nearly a hundred years ago. When I was about eight we visited on a couple of occasions. We've drifted apart over the years. I haven't seen 'The Yanks' for about twenty years.
My late wife and I really liked Chicago and my youngest son got married in Florida.
It's a great place but it's not home and it's become too far to travel to these days.

Many many years ago I spent 3 months in N America (my employer at the time paid for the travel and 2 months of the accommodation, in Raleigh North Carolina).
I visited NYC, Washington DC, New Orleans, and some closer places in NC and SC.
Then - Saskatoon, Vancouver, SF and LA including en route the Canadian Rockies, Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree and Death Valley.
Where next? Not sure.
