If only.Sign me up. This way I won't have to go to Canada; Canada will come to me.

But, pity the other blue states and blue cities in red states who would then be (even more) outnumbered.

Two, Four, Six, Eight....Time for them to emigrate! The only reason that the blue states are as blue as they are is that shiploads of immigrants have been fleeing 'red state situations' to come to the coast. And, there are all those 'red state voters' in my state (did you see the Stonekettle Station post where Wright posted up the color-coded county by county election result - See the November 10 post, entitled, 'Bug Hunt') Geographically, my state is mostly red....as are most states in the union. Blue states are usually dominated by large urban areas, like mine, where anonymity is a virtue and diversity accepted as a given. Outside of the tight bounds of urban metropolitan areas, Americans are not particularly accepting of people different than themselves or ideas different from the ones they hold.

That woud be kinda cool, to become a Canadian. You'd have to learn their national anthen, what is it?
But as JoeP says, all those other blues in the sea of red would get even more drowned out.

That is quite the slow song. Can it be sped up or is it always sung like that? I like that you're the "true north".

I probably wouldn't mind the snow and temperatures for the first winter - it would be novel. After that .. perhaps not so much

Yeah...That's the usual pace. I remember belting out the refrain at hockey games when I was a kid. The local team played Vancouver, Vitoria, Kamloops, and Calgary back then, amongst other US teams, of course.
I've heard the Canada I'm familiar with, Vancouver and lower British Columbia, referred to as 'Canada's Banana Belt'....it's where Canada's junkies come to hang out in the winter.

If only.California is more populous than Canada and the addition of the three states would more than double Canada's population to 87 million. Canada would be joining California.
