Can we get a form of Senile back? I think some things like an address thread for Christmas cards are better placed in a fenced off area.

Looking at the membership this seems to be virtually a Seniles only location anyway! Mind you I do think it was a shame that EF1 had its membership inflated by folk who never really posted.
EF1? ProtoEF? Ur-EF?

We'll have to make a Seniles user group, I think, and allow them access (or deny others access) to a new sub-forum. It isn't so much to exclude anyone, but rather to keep a place where we can post semi-personal stuff without people we don't know seeing it.
The other option is to make all the forums hidden from non-members and have membership approval.
I am working now, but might look into it tomorrow, unless Moosie wants to go ahead...

I would still want things like addresses to be in a place that only members can access. We never know who might look at the forum or who might sign up.

Ok, there are two options: right now there is a senile/senior board which guests and "New members" cannot access, this means that anyone with over 10 posts can access that board. The other option is that individual people are added to a separate senior group, meaning everyone in that group will have the same status and stars, etc. Anyone who wants access to the senior forum would have to as to be added to the group.
What do people think and prefer?

As I put in the other thread, the number can be anything, but it will be sort of fixed as we wouldn't want to go changing it all the time.

I'd still prefer if members could be chosen. There might be people signing up who post alot, but whom we still don't want to read our personal things.

We need to make sure addresses are not visible to strangers who post 100 posts in one night.

I went ahead and made the whole Senile category invisible to everyone not in a group. Adding the people in this thread who are not admins to the senior group now. Anyone else, drop us a message here or wherever.

Is there a Senile section apart from this thread? If so I can't see it either.

I can't actually make people seniors but that's OK because I don't to conflict with what you're doing.

If it is any consolation, you as supreme admin extraordinaire can't delete yourself, I checked.
You can, however, delete the whole board...

I noticed that. It was a bit scary.
SOMEONE keeps leaving bits of rollmop herring all over the command console.
