I saw something similar a couple of years back. They had nested on the side of a building and a couple of people were stood catching them as they flung themselves off to get to the pavement.

I saw something like that back when I worked in downtown Overland Park. I went with them, as far as I thought I could get away without getting in trouble, to make sure they crossed the parking lot and the street safely.
