For a few hours. It genuinely soothes me. I've got a blanket in there, I've got books and things that play music, there's a window ... it's nice. I can ignore the entire world. Sometimes Luthy comes in with me (though sometimes I smoke in there so I don't let her in when I am doing that).

A place to retreat to is nice. I used to have one in a tree as a child. As an adult I generally had an entire room filled with books and a nice lounging chair.

Before lockdown, I would retreat to the Ring O' Bells, quietly in a room on my own.

A window? In your cupboard under the stairs? Well aren't you fancy!

I'm trying to remember that cupboard under the stairs from when I was at your house, but I don't.

Kye - you never saw it Just off the kitchen is the utility room and off the utility room is the cupboard under the stairs .. it houses the electric meter. There's not much space - you could not lie down there, or at least not till the collection of dead computers was removed - but it's cosy.

Ah! I was wondering how I could have been so unobservant!

I shall take pictures But not at this moment. It's cluttered under there - our whole house is cluttered, as you have observed - but I have made myself a little niche

I THINK - I might be wrong - that that white thing in the window is Pippin
