It's 2.08 and all is tentatively well but I am too cold to actually move and go to bed

Lord --I don't envy you. I hate being cold...

That's why I love my electric pillow. When I can't warm myself up despite blankets, etc., my electric pillow will.

Heh....And I actually just purchased some 'cooling' pillows, because I tend to have the opposite problem; I sleep 'too warm'.
After I moved in with my sweetheart, she finally acquiesced and removed her electric blanket; to reduce the sweat pooling on my side of the bed. That is when she learned to send me to bed about thirty minutes before she expected to retire, with instructions to start on her side. Then, when she came to bed, she'd just prod me to move over to my side. I did this willingly because the sheets on the other side were then noticeably cooler and thus attractive to me and it left a nice warm spot in the bed for her. It worked quite well for the duration of our marriage; she never again put the electric blanket back on the bed.
But then, I have functional central heating and an extra quilt folded at the foot of the bed.

Boiler needs new parts they don't have, but they did bring us out two portable heaters today. I wasn't too sanguine (so to speak) but they're actually pleasantly effective.

1.17. Is it normal to be this tired all of the time? I've barely been awake three hours

Yes, if you're not eating very much.

It sounds like something systematic is going on...

I know I should get it checked out and I know also that I keep saying that and don't do it

But no I am really not eating much - it's actually scaring me a bit. Losing weight is all very well but not when you don't want to

If it's caused by drinking, stomach bloating* does get better but it can take a while (from two days to two months). You may find it helpful to make sure that if you continue drinking, you always drink after a meal and not on an empty stomach. I have a friend who has had your symptoms for three months and has lost a lot of weight but she continues to drink on an empty stomach. Anxiety makes it worse. It helps if you are calm when you try eating and don't rush things.

Is it normal to be this tired all of the time? I've been fairly to extremely tired for a few weeks, due I think (I hope) to cold/flu-type infection

- And, to make it not all about me, multiple people who I haven't been in contact with are also suffering the same. Maybe the whole country has a cold.

I had a month in October when I was feeling tired all the time, recovering from a simple virus infection (not Covid).

Doesn't it burn your ears? No, mine is a pillow, so it just covers my stomach area. It also works wonders when I have a backache. That's what it was originally bought for.
