I had a Tesco lamb rogan Josh that was absolutely fantastic - easily as good and perhaps better as something I would have paid four times as much for from a take out. Definitely going to be getting another of these.

So, frozen, then? Or, prepared hot as take-out?

Have you ever tried COOK? Most of their stuff is really good, and I find their curries even better than supermarket ones. It looks like they might deliver to Whitehaven ... from Harrogate ... possibly with a fairly hefty minimum order and delivery charge. Maybe not.

It was fresh, not frozen .. frozen ones aren't as good.
Alas, it's hard to get good delivery food here if you don't like pizza or kebabs.

I can report that some frozen ones are (nearly) as good.
For fresh, I recommend Bhangra Beat in South Woodford, London. I'm sure they will happily deliver to Cumbria...

A guy living half a mile up our road does similar meals to COOK and sells them in our local butchers. They are also very good but his range is a bit limited. EATATHOMEIndian takeaways can be a bit hit and miss but they do provide three or four times the quantity of supermarket ready meals. Sometimes I wish they didn't.

Now I want Indian takeaway. Not sure if that would be possible around here, though. We very rarely eat takeaway.

Do the supermarkets do curries?
Tomorrow is Col's Tesco day so am hoping to get another one tomorrow, if they've got them in stock.
