It was Col's birthday a couple of days ago and one of the presents that I bought him was a hamper of retro sweets from the Seventies and Eighties (conceived then, not made then ). Some of these things I have not seen in decades, though others are still available. It's been ... interesting.

Happy Birthday Colin, you deserve retro sweets... erm, you deserve a treat, I mean.

Are Curlie-Wurlies retro ... or are they still a current thing?

I would consider them retro but you can still get them. They are a lot smaller than they used to be though (isn't everything?)

They only look smaller because you're bigger.

I meant you're not a child any more.
ETA: Corrected the grammar.

So what sweets should be brought back and which ones were abandoned for a good reason?

We bought some more recently ... lovely. Except for the fact that some of the chocolate limes were just ... limes, with chocolate notable by its absence.
