The other day I got a message saying that an Amazon order I placed had been lost and I could request a refund. I had ordered something else at the same time and that turned up okay. Anyway I asked for the refund and they refunded the one that had turned up. I told them of their mistake and the person did not seem to be comprehending and said that they'd refund the initial one too, which they did. They also paid me ten pounds compensation for 'inconvenience.' Today, the 'lost' item which was supposedly cancelled turned up, so ultimately we got two items for free plus a ten pound voucher (total saving around thirty five quid). I suppose if I was more honest I'd tell them of their mistake but I figure what the hell, it was their fault, I tried to tell them they'd refunded the wrong item initially, and ultimately Bezos can afford it. Hilarious. Something similar happened to me but no inconvenience fees were sent. Items were missing in the box.
