This board is difficult to read on an iPad because the print is small (and more so on an iPad Mini) and because a line of text occupies almost the full width of the page. So, Proboards does a special app which it tells you about every few days with an annoying popup. Many apps for social boards, such as Facebook, are free but this one costs $3, so you expect it to work well. But before spending any money, I checked out the latest reviews. Here are excerpts from the ten most recent reviews: For the love of god re make this app. Unusable. I want my money back! The app hasn't worked for weeks. I would give this ZERO stars today if I could!!! Won't let me login. Please fix the bugs in this app. Does this app ever work? I want to love this app but it crashes all the time. I guess that's a No then?

I have kept ignoring this but I have no problems at all reading this on my iPad with the one very small exception of changing page numbers which I can live with.

I tried the iPhone demo version and it was terrible! On the plus side, the v5 forum stuff looks like we may be able to create a skin with adjusted fonts and so on to cater for that kind of thing.

Aha, adjustable fonts would be good.

When I am at my mum's I use Ol's ipad. It asked me about the app and I would have got it but was not prepared to pay. That said, it works perfectly well without one really.

I can't imagine ever trying to use a forum on anything besides a laptop or desktop!

I think it would still be okay on the tablets that are still proper computers, but on iPads and the like they always keep doing gimmicky nonsense with it or leaving things out and ruining things.

I can't imagine ever trying to use a forum on anything besides a laptop or desktop! The iPad 2 and iPad Mini have a screen size of 1024 x 768 pixels, which is the same as many older monitors. We managed to use forums in them tha days.

It's not the resolution in pixels, it's the size of the fonts and screen in the real world that's the issue. I have a 2.5" TV, but I wouldn't use it for my main viewing!

Wel, yes, but you just hold the screen close to your eyes. At 3" way it looks massive.
