Oh no. Sending you an enormous *hug* Same here. I feel like I have no energy to do things and very little time (but that part is due to work and travelling to work and being worn out when I get home). What you need is for a bunch of friends to come and see you and give you real physical hugs ... can you hold on until the beginning of June? More immediately ... are there things you find enjoyable? Right now, not things you "ought" to find enjoyable but don't seem to help at the moment. Are there any specific things getting you down? Not really, since you say you don't know why. Sometimes the best thing is just to remember that things don't stay bad. That you've felt bad before and recovered. That the world and the potential for things is bigger than you can imagine when you're in a low mood.

Off a short pier? I went for a walk earlier but did not get far because I kept retching.

I have it too. I know it will pass, though, so I guess I am lucky. I always get more clearly bipolar when anemic.

And that's a haiku More or less anyway. No suggestions. Just go to bed with one of your favourite books and see if you'll at least feel a little better for a short time after finishing it. Otherwise the only thing I can think of is to grin and bear it.

I've read everything in the house at least eight times.

So? I don't buy books unless they are really cheap and look interesting, or if I've read them a dozen times already and still want to read it again. But that's me. I tend to indulge myself when I feel that way and reading is one of my indulgences since I don't normally have a lot of time to read.

Watch a film? A series? Rewatch some good Dr. Who episodes? Find a new series to like? Not sure how fast your internet is these days, but there's enough to watch online. Might not be what you feel like right now, but being busy by looking something up you might get interested in, now or later, might get you out of your state of non-feeling.

internet connection not really fast enough to wtch new stuff plus I'd presumably have to pay for it. Sorry am just feeling sorry for myself. Might just scoop my cats up and go and read something for the ninth time and remind myself that I am very lucky in many ways

Do you often read the appendices of LOTR? Cos there are some quite cute stuff in there and if you don't read it every time you do a re-read at least it's a bit more fresh.

Sorry am just feeling sorry for myself. You don't have to apologise for that! We all do sometimes and when you notice you're on a downhill slide mentally, it's hard to brace yourself against the side of that slide. Asking for advice is a good thing, though you will probably have to find your own remedy. I found that some things work sometimes and sometimes just nothing works and you just have to ride it out till that what originally caused it is gone or the way you deal with it has adapted.
