My knee hurts. Maybe if you hurt your knee, you'll forget you're lonely cos your knee will distract you.

My knees are fine.

I see a flaw in the plan: if you hurt your knee badly, you're going to spend half the time wishing there was someone to help you hobble around.

Better to get drunk. Wait, that doesn't work either.

Jo dear, I just read this poem the other day, I hope this is not going to make you feel worse, but it's so beautiful:
The Look
Strephon kissed me in the spring, Robin in the fall, But Colin only looked at me And never kissed at all.
Strephon's kiss was lost in jest, Robin's lost in play, But the kiss in Colin's eyes Haunts me night and day.

Work work? Translating? I can see that would take your mind off things.

I did lots of house work today and been listening to the best music of the last 20 years. Most of it is taking me back to my teens and early 20's. Very nostalgic.

Don't use Google Translate. I did once and Mari told me off

Yes. I am doing some rather boring translation. I am behind schedule because of my absence last week. But everything is under control.

I saw my sister and her wife and my cousins and their husbands/partners and one of their kids, Sam, who's 10, at a French restaurant in Soho last night. The food was great and it was fun to see them all.
Sister and mrs sister stayed here overnight but are now gone.
So I'm lonely too!
