I love ice cream, but the flavour that I love varies depending on the day. Today it's caramel. Yum!

No no no no no no no no no. You can't just go "what's the best ice cream flavour" as if it doesn't make a difference where you get it or the temperature or what sort of meal it is!
1. If it's Koko Black then the answer is chocolate. Will always be chocolate regardless of any other consideration.
2. If it's hot and it's dessert or refreshment than lemon or raspberry gelati are the best but if in the mood and if the place does them well, other fruity flavours are good and so is coconut.
3. If it's more of a meal then it needs to be good creamy stuff and can include bits. Meringue bits are yummy. Nut flavours are good, especialy pistachio and hazelnut.
4. The three best places I ever had ice-cream were (in no particular order). Cassis in Southern France - I had something caramel and something with hazelnut and I tasted quite a few flavours and every single one was amazing. The famous gelati place in Rome which I can't remember the name of right now and I don't remember the flavours I had but it was amazing, one was strawberry. And Koko Black, but only the chocolate ice cream.

Other: pistachio. Which I see miss berry has already pointed out.

There are so many good flavours it'd be easier if I just vote against banana as it ruins almost anything! If it was nutritionally more balanced, I could live on the stuff.

I like ice lollies.
Cornetto-type cones can be ok, but I usually just look forward to the biscuit.

I don't generally like ice cream, but if I have one, it's either lemon or raspberry/yoghurt.

I have a new favourite ice-cream to add to the list! In Budapest there is a gelateri that has the loveliest, lightest ice-cream I have ever tasted with gorgeous flavours. The walnut was particularly good. But so was the strawberry and elderflower, and the raspberry was some of the best I ever had.

I had pear sherbet today. I prefer that over ice cream.
