If you hadn't done at least one birthday each, they wouldn't be here ...

Are you traumatising your children?

If you hadn't done at least one birthday each, they wouldn't be here ... Exactly, one each was enough. We don't need stupid arbitrary anniversaries as an excuse to party! We want cake, we bake a cake!

But on birthdays you can have extra special cake! Or have somebody else bake it for you!

We want cake, we bake a cake! Motto for life. I've just thought of another list Moose can make.

I don't celebrate Christmas either, so they get that at their dad's. I do celebrate Ninjamas, though, which is very similar.

I think birthdays are not really a big thing in the land of Finns, but name days are

Not really, though maybe they take some of the specialness of birthdays off the top. For some people. I have four of them and can never even remember when they are.

You have four name days? That is the only reason I've ever seen might be worth having more than one name.

Indeed I have four given names, though it's a bit of a cheat as two of them are hyphenated together.
At Ninjamas the Ninjas break in and reverse-burglarize you, leaving stuff instead of taking it. And then everyone has a big meal.

Ninjamas sounds like a very cool holiday. When do you celebrate it? My brunch was very healthy. It was a big salad. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay.

Happy birthday! Are you doing anything special with your other kids? By the by, how is your grandson doing? Haven't seen any pics of him on FB lately.

Ninjamas sounds like a very cool holiday. When do you celebrate it? Christmas usually falls on the kids' week with their dad, so the Ninjas tend to visit some time the previous week, depending on my work schedule and their school. Ninjas are very considerate, that way.

Good old ninjas! Mari, my other kids are both working, so there's not much they can do. Laurence is working at a swanky spa in Old Montreal and, as she gets a discount, she's going to take me there for a spa day some day soon. Chris is not really into birthdays... he might not realize today is mine. As for Leo --I never seem to have my phone handy when I go to see him!
