I can't eat anything until at least an hour after waking up. So usually don't eat until lunch.

Are you off alcohol on doctor's orders? Yes! There was no choice if my medication was going to be effective. The side effects of venlafaxine and booze are horrid. I know coz a chap I made friends with on the ward told me all about it, that was why he was on the ward ( again ! ) and he used to be a doctor so he should know if anybody does.

I don't know the answer to this question but how many of them ended up back on the wards ?

To be honest none of them had been on the wards in the first place.

Which isn't to say that I am advocating drinking on anti depressants as ultimately it can't do much good, even if it does not put you in hospital.

This forum pageis a very good reference on the effects of alcohol and Prozac. A bit scary.

It doesn't matter. So long as you eat chocolate at some point in the day.

Hmm, I'm not sure everything stated on that page is right. The liver can't metabolise alcohol while it's metabolising prozac? Alcohol doesn't affect you *until* it's been partly broken down by the liver? Doesn't make sense.

Yeah, the last part is correct, at least. I don't know about the first part although it's plausible.
