I was in my first term at university, on an overnight coach going back to visit my parents for a weekend with a friend. Was totally blown away: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNtD6mrkSZ0

The second one is stronger melodically but both good and interesting.

Looking back at the thread title again I have to say that this was the first time I'd heard either of these.

The young parishioners are always bangin' on about them ... I suppose that they feel the name of the group should catch my interest!

Never heard them before, can't grasp the text (too fast for me) but I gather the texts are political. What I have heard from Maniac Street Preachers is If you tolerate this your children will be next: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7dBBCHYcZs&list=PL2AC60CB347387CF3Political too but simple with a melancholy melody which stays in my mind.
