Depends what you mean by a weekend ... it would have to be Monday and Tuesday - maybe on a canal boat in Flanders or the Netherlands.

Hmm probably dinner and show in London. The space station would be kinda cool but I think a bit long for me. Not sure how you pee as a woman so I think if I went I'd like it just to be a few hours. South of France is nice, but not for skiing. If you said eating or walking I would pick that.

It has to be now?
If that's the case, then I pick island hopping the Leeward Islands in a floatplane.
St. Kitts, here I come!

I picked the Edinburgh fringe, but it's not on again till August, so I think I ought to get a different weekend break before then.

That wasn't an option either!! So? I looked at some enticing locations, but you'd linked them with activities with which I had absolutely zippo interest. Golf? You must be kidding. I'd distillery-hop through Scotland in flash, but not golf. South of France....yeah! Skiing? Are you nucking futz? My response was to wedge in my lastest getaway fantasy. And you didn't even mention Poland, either.

Okay you can have two *looks obliging* For my bonus break I'll visit the ISS Interesting that, at the moment, we have to ride there on a Soyuz rocket - which is just a stretched version of the rocket used to put the first man, Yuri Gagarin, into space, over fifty years ago! Luckily for me it has the best safety record of any space launch vehicle.

I chose trekking, but looking at the weather right now, I might prefer dinner and a show in London.

I had a hard time deciding between Edinburgh and London. If I had to choose between those two it'd be Edinburgh. I've been to London many times and I don't like the place!

Omitting a canal boat is an even more serious omission if you are on a canal boat holiday at the time!

Have you ever made an effort to do something nice in London? For me, it's more about what I do and who I'm with then where I do it... why I voted for the Opera. I would go to London for a sight seeing trip but love going there for concerts (only thing I miss about not being in the UK anymore).

There are some decent places to go in London, but I don't like the place itself.

Dr. Johnson wrote that, 'He who tires of London, tires of life' but the good doctor had altogether too many opinions than were good for him .

I am not best fond of London. It's great for a day trip but other than that it's dirty, crowded, unfriendly and noisy.

I thought London was pretty clean for a city the size it was. I loved it and would love to go back and have a chance to enjoy more of the sites. I also thought it was much less busy than I anticipated - probably because it is so large that people get dispersed. I also loved the diversity - barely heard a native English person the time we were there.
