...from your local profile settings. Needs a few tweaks still, but most of the way there. Can't do everything I wanted to because some of the colours are linked together, which causes some issues of its own! Features:Links that you can actually see... A larger new post button (currently a badly-scaled copy of the old one)... Helpful comments appreciated.

I will try it for a bit. It's very green - the Green Party would approve.

Is not bad. The bright green is not my fave but the more calm green is nice.

I've been using it for a day or so and quite like it.

Yes, will probably soften the hard green a bit. Busy doing other things at the moment today though.

Didn't do much of anything. Fell asleep half the afternoon in the end. Other than that I went to the shops on my bicycle. It's only been a couple of months since I last used it but it seemed a lot harder work than before and my bicycle seems tiny now.

It won't be long before you sell it, is my guess.

My sister bought it for my 18th birthday. It is now over 22 years old. Just because I bought the motorbike doesn't mean I don't want to give up all exercise and it is enjoyable to go out on it still. I have taken a slight bit off the edge of the hard green colour and cleaned up the "New" image.

Maybe I'll try the new skin, but I just managed to get used to this one!

I have done a logo to go at the top... Opinions, anyone? I have more ideas to improve it, so it is a work in progress, still.

I noticed that. I don't even mind the bright green so much since it's only on a few accents.
I have noticed I am suddenly getting ads though. Was an ad free forum up til now.

I've had just one ad.

I get the occasional ad online, at which point I will go and add a new filter, depending on the annoyance and resource-hungriness of it (which is 99% of the time). I have no issue with people making money to support things, but I will not stand for it making my computer unusable or just driving me mad!

I'm confused. Why do only some people get ads?

It seems to depend on my computer and browser. I got it last night on my own min-laptop, but not on my old Xp (though I did start getting the new banner with the user-specific stuff), and I have ads again now on my work laptop. It may also depend on the skin, the placement of the banner was an option thee IIRC.

I have Adblock installed, which I usually only use to block flashing ads. When I disabled Adblock and reloaded the page, a flashing advert came up at the top. I'm so glad Adblock was invented. It would drive me crazy if I didn't have it installed.

Before Adblock, I used Privoxy, which had the benefit of blocking the ads on MSN and similar applications, too.

Hm, never even heard of Privoxy. Yes, some things do get through AdBlock, which is why it is good to run NoScript too!

So with Adblock, you don't get ads, right?

Adblock has a standard list of things to block, but you can use it to add rules for other things you don't want to see. If you understand how web pages work you can do much more advanced blocking, but the default set are pretty effective on their own.
I also use Flashblock to stop Flash things running until you press a play button and Low Quality Flash to change the default setting to use less processing power, though that has less effect these days as most heavy Flash things are running video content at a fixed resolution.
