After doing 2 funerals today, I'm definitely a wreck!

Ah, yes that would be draining.

It was a wonderful tribute though. The cathedral was packed to the rafters and the music was sublime. I was glad I didn't have the ultimate responsibility of putting it together --that was the Dean's job. But I did participate. And the funeral before was a big West Indian affair and that one was all on me.

Rather different funerals, I imagine.

944 502 Thanks, Mari! My daughter is living with me until the end of June. It's weird having another person in my space. (But nice. )

Lost my red jumper yesterday, and found it in the third place I looked... in the Navigation in Marple. That's two jumpers recovered in one day. I left my purple jumper at a friend's house last week.

Not quite, hey. Church first, Ring O Bells second. And I didn't stop for a beer in the Ringers.

It's a long weekend here this weekend. And I really need it too. I have spent the day doing nothing, napping a bit during the day. That almost never happens for me. I had a very full work week this week and then slept quite badly last night.

I took my car to the garage on Wednesday because it was using a lot of oil and water. I thought it had blown a gasket (the strip of cork where the engine head is bolted onto the cylinders) but they checked it out and said (a) they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, and (b) the rates of loss were both within the manufacturer's tolerances (a litre of oil every 300 miles). And because they couldn't find anything wrong they didn't charge me anything. But they also did a vehicle check (for which they normally charge about £45) and found four things wrong that eventually need putting right. Again, they didn't charge me. I think they want my custom.

944 492 Will they get your custom, tangent? For large jobs, definitely but small jobs are best done by my local garage. Hmph, turned on the TV and there is a woman calling herself the Chocolate Queen. Obviously a pretender because that title belongs to you.

A piece partially fell off my car underneath the front end. I have to get it repaired today. I hope it's not too expensive!

944 490 We bought a new sofa. Our old one was sagging, but until we regularly had to get up from it with a baby in our arms we never noticed.

944 489 A piece partially fell off my car underneath the front end. I have to get it repaired today. I hope it's not too expensive! That happened to us. The righthand side of the bumper fell off in the middle of a junction. We sorted it by pulling off the lefthand side to match.

It wasn't the bumper but some kind of mud shield thingy. They said it hadn't been properly installed and they fixed it for me for not as much money as I had feared.

Yeah, thinking about it, mine might have been a mud shield thingy.
According to my mobile, my stress level is very low. I think it's lying.

944 486 How does your mobile measure your stress level?

It has a red light at the rear. You hold a finger steadily on the light and it measures your pulse rate. Keep pressing your finger against the light and it will 'measure' your stress level. Possibly recording your heart rate variability (HRV). I'm sceptical about its value. I would rate it closer to quackery than medical accuracy.
