Yes, but have you got photos of snow covering a 180-year old building?

How about a 500-year-old building?

Within view of your house/dwelling place?

941 861 I understand you can sometimes get stomach pain the day after a session at the gym, in which case yesterday's workout was pretty hard

Great news, says my service provider, we've updated some of your settings. Please restart your phone. But I don't want my settings updated. OK I've restarted my phone, now tell me which settings you've updated. Oh, we're not telling you that! Hmph.

941-859 My work phone gets constant updates as well, one a week or so. Very annoying. And most of the mandatory updates are for mandatory apps I don't use anyway. That's what you get with a mandatory work phone.

941-858 I watched concrete being poured today. It's fascinating how the concrete truck works.

941-853 They've torn down part of the existing wall. Not so exciting to watch, but very very noisy. The cat didn't approve at all

I need a reminder about this building work. It's an extension to the house you are living in, right? How much is being added?
|
|
|
Post by Mari on Jan 27, 2024 17:44:22 GMT
941-851 They're adding about 25 square metres to the back of the house/side of the existing extension. The existing one was so bad they had to take the entire thing down in the end, so it's going to be about 40 square metres total. At the moment they took down the existing part and part of the back wall. There's a wooden wall in our living room to keep the cold out, about 1 meter from where the back wall used to be. No central heating because that used to be in the old extension, no kitchen for the same reason.

I hope they complete the extension soon. This is not a good time of the year to be without heat!

941-849 The no heat part is doable. The no hot water part is more annoying.

Kye, that sounds like something to look forward to. Had to correct the second philosophy exam of the term last minute, only to learn that they're only required to write one per term (but are allowed to write two). I made myself more work than necessary.

I'm looking forward to colder weather in February. The last few days have been just above freezing - with lots of ice on the ground this makes things horrible and slippery.
