I have both on fb but don't think they are very active there. That is true. Perhaps a PM through the old forum, if you can wait that long?

A pm to both on the old forum? That might take a while!

Sarah comes by once every while on FB. The Goat was on EF1 the other day Helloooo.....I'm over here. Just a mite lost, at the moment. Hey...Steve sent me a personal email. I think. I'm still stumbling around here, trying to figure out the controls. "Share"? YMBK. What is wrong with "Reply"? ....wait, that's not a 'reply' button. WHERE IS THE 'REPLY' BUTTON? And...Am I correct in interpreting that I cannot reply to an upthread post? I'm limited to replying only to the last post in a thread? Or, is there some functional trick I'm supposed to intuitively know? (Some people, particularly in technical circles, have very strange ideas as to what qualifies as "intuitive".) Um....could you empty the turnips out, or I'll have to eat the bag?

There's a quick reply window at the bottom. To reply to further up posts you need to use the quote button
And we ate the turnips. Serves you right for being late.

We used to get Aardvaaks in the Old Country, not turnips. Or was it Spiny Anteaters? I forget.
But it wasn't turnips.

wasn't it both? And at some point there was talk of a mug too... not that I ever received any of them...

I don't remember mugs ... there was a nice bouquet once though.

I'll bet the mug was not forthcoming because it was an ugly mug.
Who'd want one of Moose's ugly mugs?

No, I was offering up an idle wager.
Based upon an earlier idle speculation.

I don't see a button that can list all of the new posts, which is a shame because I used to depend on that on the old forum.

It would be good if the threads with new posts would light up in some way too. I used to check by that.

I've worked out a suitable alternative. - Click "new topics" on the menu bar at the top.
- Right click each topic in turn and select "Open Link in New Tab".
- On each tab, press the F3 function button with "today" in the search box.
It gets me to where I want to be.

Ctrl-clicking on a link is usually the shortcut for open in new tab (Command-click on Mac).
I would normally do that one at a time and press ctrl+w to close the tab again when done...
...or open two windows, side-by-side and just drag the links from the new topics page to the other.
I used to drag the e-mail notifications from the other server into my open browser window. That is why I miss it so much. This forum takes me at least 3-4 times longer to navigate (server-slowness excluded).

I like being able to click on "new topics"

I never really used it, though on a large forum with lots of topics I suppose it can be useful.

I'm here now. :-)
I'm on facebook pretty much every day, but I just don't post stuff very often.
I won't be able to get here from work, though. I tried yesterday but our internet filtering software blocks it. It didn't block EF at all. (It's an interesting system: some stuff is blocked altogether, other things are allowed for a certain amount of time a day, and others are always allowed.)
Not that I went on EF alot at work, but it was nice to know I could go on if I wanted. Though I suppose this is EF now.
