You're getting the weather we had last week. Thanks for sending it!

Freezing weather here. Literally! The last two nights were around 1 and 2 degrees but air temp felt like minus according to the bureau. Lovely and sunny days though. Spent Saturday strolling the beach and Sunday strolling some of the fancy streets in our new neighbourhood and looking at the gorgeous houses, and then walking in the botanical gardens.

It's 10pm and I'm enjoying around 90% humidity. An uncomfortable night ahead...

It was very warm here, but I'm expecting a thunderstorm somewhere tonight.

It's a sunny day. Not too humid. A nice day for puttering.

Yesterday's weather forecast promised rain with a possibility of thunder and lightening but we haven't had any. Just more humid air.

We've had heavy rain alerts for this morning (nothing happened) and this afternoon (nothing happened). Very hot with a few clouds. Then out of the literal blue, thunder followed by rain that became heavy. Then sun again (which has now set). So it's just as warm, and extra humid.

Thunderstorm normally clear the air somewhat. Have they not done that?
(I suspect it's not the thunder that clears the air but the rain that causes the thunder.)

Nope. I expect that and am duly disappointed.

In fact I don't think either the thunder or the rain clears the air, but rather that often thunderstorms occur along cold fronts, and when a cold front moves across it gets ... colder. But not all thunderstorms mean cold fronts.

We can have thunder without rain. It generally changes nothing but the ambient noise level.
Rain, however, almost always results in a temperature drop of anywhere from five to ten degrees Fahrenheit. If humid, a downpour can reduce humidity. Not always, but mostly.

We were supposed to get thunderstorms all day today. I duly took in my hammock. But it's still clear out there. Humid, but clear.

Nothing new today; just the same old hot weather. We're in the Lesser Heat period until 23 July then it moves into Big Heat until Autumn comes on 6 August according to the solar calendar. But it's not like the European autumn. It's still very hot throughout August mixed in with severe thunderstorms.

Cool! I've been thinking about doing a trip that starts in China (Beijing), goes to Shanghai, then across to Japan and ends in Tokyo. It's expensive though...
The weather here: rainy and cool (not in the good way).

Yes. Cool, indeed.
I was in China in 2004. Then, it was not particularly expensive, but I had preceded my arrival in China with three days in Kyoto. That was expensive.
If you go, Kye, I recommend Xi'an. The terra cotta soldiers are there.
The weather here, moderate with a few clouds in mostly blue skies.

I approve. A mite fast, in that you could spend three to four days in each locale and enjoy it more. But, that's always the case.
An upgrade on that would be to include some sections of the Grand Canal.
Hey...By the time you get there, there may well be a Tim Horton's inside the Forbidden City. Tim Bits!

I hope not. I'm not a big fan of Tim's.

*shudders* I hope not. I'm not a big fan of Tim's. Well, I've nothing against Tim's (I'm something of a donut junkie), but as I shuttled between rail stations in Glasgow, I ran across a very long street line outside Central Station....A new Tim Horton's had just opened. It was quite the draw card that day. Blocks long queue. Even I was amused.

22 C, a bit windy, alternating sunny and cloudy. The perfect weather imo, warm enough to go out without a jacket or cardigan, but not too warm.

I used to think that 22 C was ideal. I think that has been reduced to 20 C.

25 C, sunny, no clouds. It could easily get rainy in the evening though.

Feeling great! In a relatively tight financial situation at the moment, since I don't have a job, but otherwise in perfect condition. How about you?

Still cold here. Waiting for winter to be over. But I comforted myself today with the thought that if I were sitll in NL, and it was middle of January, it would be horrendously worse and much, much darker. That cheered me up some.
