For Christmas? We actually like our artificial tree. Not the best quality since it was cheap (a bit less than 20 €), but it's actually not that visible once it is decorated and saves us the trouble of finding a Christmas tree at a time when there are hardly any available yet. As a child I would never have wanted that, but the real one we had last year didn't look that great, either.

Oprah is Peter's cat. It's her first time seeing a Christmas tree. Ours is artificial too. My parents gave me theirs when I left home because my mu hates decorating trees anyway, whilst I love it.

Still haven't got ours up. Need to clean the house up a bit first, should probably do that this weekend.

Trees before Christmas Eve?
Tsk. Tsk.
I have put up the light net under the lantern of the garden room - the lights are blue and therefore count as Adventy.

What's wrong with trees before xmas eve? Shouldn't you have it atleas on the longest nights of the year which start before eve?

Ours is still planted in the garden waiting for me to do something with it. But I've had a stomach bug for the past 12 days.

You keep having illnesses as an excuse. Hmmmm, does that mean you're ill a lot or that you suck at making up original excuses?

Hahaha, I see. How's the stomach bug coming along? Surely it should be abating by now?

It's no better than it was 12 days ago... and I'm really hungry.

I've had more food than usual today, a bowl of soup, some chicken casserole and two slices of toast. But the stomach pains have come back so I'm going to have to ease off tomorrow.

Hope your stomach is feeling better tomoz.
We finally have our tree up. We discovered that we don't see to have any lights though... so since it's a litle tree I've put it under the lamp which has a downward facing spotlight to light it up instead.

We discovered that we don't see to have any lights though... When I was 10, we had a couple of rather different tree lights - a couple of real candles in holders that clipped onto the branches of the tree. We never lit them but that was what they were for.

I will never have real candles on a Christmas tree. Many Germans still like usingreal canles and every now and then a tree goes up in flames

If only trees were not made of a flammable material!

Definitely never going to try candles on trees!
Now that it's post boxing day the lights would be real cheap - but they've probably all been purchased already.
