Leads me to think about that girl on YouTube who thinks they could put them along the highway to cool things down. People really are getting to the point where they don't know how things work at all!

They need to open their fridge doors, obviously.

One of the things that amaze me about some of these places is that they have air conditioning to cool the house down, but still heat their water, instead of using the heat from the house!

One of the things that amaze me about some of these places is that they have air conditioning to cool the house down, but still heat their water, instead of using the heat from the house! Because it used to be cheaper and easier to do it that way. Things change. It still involves a sizable investment to retrofit a system that will allow you to do just that. On such expensive retrofits, one tries to obtain a payback period on the savings in a reasonable period of time (like one's lifetime). As some technologies become more readily available because of demand-driven development, it becomes more likely that more people, drawn by falling per unit costs, particularly in the face of rising generation costs, can take the step of making the retrofit. There is a threshold. That threshold can vary over space and time...IO, YMMV.

The kids love them. I kept away from them for many years, and would usually only eat them after races, where they were often provided to the finishers. I felt I could use the potassium at that point. I'm pretty picky about when I'll eat them, though.

They're on bonus at the AH this week. But they all seemed a bit bruised, managed to pick up 3 still greenish ones that looked OK.

Since we are talking about traveling here: I would love to try the Trans-Siberian Railway if my husband is coming with me (I don't dare to do long train ride alone).

What are we talking about at the moment? Seems to be three topics at once.

I didn't, we ran out and they didn't have any in the store yesterday. They were all restocked today though and still on bonus so I picked up a bunch.

I just had one with some yogurt and maple syrup for breakfast. I am feeling a bit sugared up now as I also had two anzac biscuits that I'd baked earlier in the week. Tea, need tea.

I saw one, honest! It looked quite curmudgeonly though.

Isn't that supposed to be its natural state? I think goats are the awesomest farmanimals after pigs.

I just got my kitchen machine with blender in, so I'm going to use some bananas in a veggie juice. I've been looking forward to this for a week! Yay!

No, can't get my fingers anywhere near anything dangerous.
