Went for a walk yesterday through a local park and back along the River Roding. The play area in the park was packed with people, and not a mask in sight.

943 158 Some of my parishioners are being vaccinated these days and they're panting to get back to the physical church. They didn't realize that I'm not going back until I get vaccinated, which won't be until the summer probably.

It's recommended they wait until three weeks after their second jab otherwise a church service could potentially be a super-spreader event (although unlikely if you refuse entry to people who have not been vaccinated).

Our Bishop said no church services until Montreal is out of the red zone, which might be a long time. Canada is far down the line for obtaining vaccines, so they say it won't be until the fall that everyone who wants a vaccine will get one.

And being a young person, you will be low down in the queue, I guess.

Post edit - referring to Fr Kye above:
Mine has just issued a further extension of the exemption from the Canon Law requirement to hold Sunday worship - churches that want to have physical act of worship have to write a safety case and then satisfy the Archdeacon.
Satisfy an Archdeacon? Can you imagine!

We have a very elaborate set of requirements we have to follow when we're in the church building. I can't imagine that loosening up any time soon.
Tangent, at 69 I've just under the 70's tier for the vaccine but I'm hoping that with my health conditions, they'll bump me up a bit.

943 131 Oops! I wanted to add a historical landmark to Google Maps. In the Goyt Valley, near where I live is a historical landmark called the Roman Bridge - built by the Victorians and nothing to do with the Romans. So I submitted an edit to Google Maps and they asked me for a name and a category. I duly put my name because I was editing the map (instead of "Roman Bridge") and now I'm there on the map for all to see. How embarrassing! I'm now hoping Google will allow me to edit it to change the name
